Rock Music snubbed at VMA's

I know that rock music hasn't been the top genre for quite some time, but it is still a popular genre. I mean to have the award just handed out on the red carpet is pretty insulting. Also I know that JT's performance and the footnote performance by N'sync was the highlight of the night, but they could have put Miley on the chopping block to have a performance by one of the best rock video nominees below

30 Seconds to Mars — "Up in the Air"
Fall Out Boy — "My Songs Know What You Did in the Dark (Light Em Up)"
Imagine Dragons — "Radioactive"
Mumford & Sons — "I Will Wait"
Vampire Weekend — "Diane Young"

Generic crap sells. It always has done and always will do. They want music that's easy to dance and sing along too. With most rock music, every song has a meaning and is more serious.

Thats why this is another meaningless show.

30 seconds to mars did. They arranged for Jared Leto to just pick up the award on the red carpet, prior to the actual show starting

Music in general was snubbed at the VMAs

Irony at it's finest that MTV hosts these awards, when they haven't taken music seriously for at least 2 decades.

Mean girls are really just honest bitches.

I remember in the 90s at these MTV music awards all genres of music was winning awards. Its like today these music awards care about the mainstream guys, I'm the type that like different kinds of music mostly old school I do enjoy alternative/grunge music and I wish that was hot again.

That's an insult. I wouldn't have even accepted the award if I was Leto.
