Avoid Jean Cocteau's films unless you're a film masochist

He really should've stuck to poetry or whatever 20th century gay French intellectual old guys did!

Maybe Lynch should go into interior decorating, for real.

Is that comment supposed to be taken seriously?! Have you not seen Beauty and the Beast? Are you blind?!

Wait... I just checked your ratings.

'Bobby' and '300' elicit top 10/10 ratings from you, and two of the masterpieces of the era: 'L'Avventura' and 'Contempt' both get 2/10 from you?!?!?!

You give the finest ghost story ever made, 'The Curse of the Cat People' a "5" out of ten, and you give 'The Three Stooges Meet Hercules' a 10/10. Joke, right?
But no...
'Bicentennial Man' gets an "8" whilst 'The Old Dark House' (1932) gets a "3" from you.

You officially have sh!t taste. Congratulations!

I find myself disagreeing with most of the postings in this thread. Jean Cocteau was an extremely important filmmaker, and even if you don't like his films (I'm not even particularly a fan) I'm glad he made them still... as a influenced a lot of filmmakers and film that I do actually like.

Also, I personally think that Lynch's "Inland Empire" is one if finest works. I understand people's disdain for it, but I think you hardly have to be a Masochist to enjoy it.

Jack White killed a man with his bare hands.... While singing and playing guitar.

La belle et la bête and Orphée are two of the most beautiful films I've ever seen.

You know you should surrender
But you can't let it go...

I love the idea of someone trolling via their own movie ratings, but that's obviously what's going on with this guy. People stupid.

I don't have a license, but I drive very well, officer!

Seriously? Have you ever seen Blood of a Poet (1930) a nice little weird and imaginative piece of surrealism that's fun to watch. Beauty and the Beast is also fun to watch too. Obviously the OP hasn't seen enough of his films to even be qualified enough to say anything about said films. Check out BOAP on the tube,though---it's worth it.
