Has Hollywood started remaking 1990s films yet?

Just curious.

Also, a second question, which 1990s music acts do you think will still be popular 50 years from now? (don't laugh....1940s artists like Doris Day, Frank Sinatra and Duke Ellington are still popular, so why shouldn't the same apply with 1990s music in 50 years?)

Forgive me for posting so many threads, but I keep having questions to ask.

Point Break was remade. A remake of The Craft is in the works, apparently. There are a few shows based on 90's films -- Scream, Fargo, 12 Monkeys, and From Dusk Till Dawn. I predict some of the 90's superhero movies like The Crow, Spawn, and Blade will eventually get reboots/remakes.

Replying to my own thread, but they are remaking "The Lion King".

What?

Why?

Great question, it look like right now the writers, producers, and etc is on a 80s nostalgia craze with all the remakes of the 80s. I'm assuming by 2018 the 90s movies will probably start being remade. I hope they don't touch the classic Disney movies from the 90s.

They really never can because todays movies don't match up with the quality of movies back then

That is true.
