you know what grinds my gears about the whole 90s craze?

People act like the early 2000s instantly suck for not being 90s

When TeenNick started Airing Rocket Power on their "90s are all that" program, I had a friend on facebook friend who had a fit and was all "Rocket power is not 90s! GET THIS OUT OF MY 90S NOW. SAVE IT FOR THE 2000'S ARE ALL THAT!"

The show started in summer of 1999, but to this girl, it was a 2000's show with an early start. and to her, that meant it automatically sucked for not being from the 90s.

She couldn't simply hate the show for not liking it. She hated it because it wasn't a 90s show to her. she acted the same way when teennick transformed the program into "The Splat" And aired "As told by ginger"

it's like wtf? the decade something came out doesn't define whether or not it sucks

The early 2000s was basically an extension of the 90s, since the world didn't just change over night, after the decade ended.

Agreed. Though, I don't really know what to make of Rocket Power. I mean, it came out in the 90s, but only for a year(or not even), and it didn't really do anything for the 2000s. It was kind of just another show.

pretty much. but all the time on facebook, I see overly obsessed 90s fanatics just instantly hate on the early 2000's simply because they weren't a 90s year.

It's ridiculous.

I just find it ridiculous to hate on a show because of the decade it had it's run in.

I have to agree with this comment, I see why some nicknamed that decade "the noughties" (90s/early 00s put together)

I love the 90s too but the early 00s did have some great shows up until 2006 maybe I actually like Rocket Power its isn't a bad show. Rocket Power does have that 90s vibe like the show should have came out in 1997.

the person hating on rocket power was just an example. the girl on fb hates it because its not 90s enough to her. and that's ridiculous.

I'm just sick of everyone obsessing over the number "90s".

I recently saw a 90s fan page on fb say that Jan. 1st, 2000 was the worst day ever because it ended the 90s.

the number of the decade isn't what made it great but that's how everyone acts.

It's how things were back then, and in the years 2000, 2001, 2002, etc., It was still like that.

but nope. because Jan. 1 2000 was the start of a new decade, everyone's quick to hate on the early 2000s years for not being a 90s year, and that's just ridiculous
