Volcano was pretty weak in the box-office, as I recall. Of course then there was Dante's Peak which did fairly well.

"The Core". I was reading on WiKi that the science was wrong, and people wouldn't go see the movie. But I agree with the people who do like it that it's a disaster flick, not a science fiction flick.
