How films represent depression

Hi, I'm a film student in the UK, and I'm doing a short piece of research about how depression is represented on the big screen, particularly in mainstream 'Hollywood' movies.

It would be really helpful to me if people could complete a short survey on the subject. https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/BJYBJ6K

It shouldn't take more than ten minutes.

The survey doesn't ask for any descriptions of personal experiences of depression or mental health problems, but some questions do ask you to reflect on how films may have helped you to understand or identify depression, and to recall and describe specific films you've seen that deal with depression, either well or poorly.

If this sounds like something that could bring up negative thoughts, please don't take the survey. There is an exit button on each page and you can close the tab at any time without completing the survey, no questions asked. I won't contact you regarding your responses, nor will I keep any personal or identifiable information. Your anonymous answers will only be used as data in my final research piece.

Thanks for reading!
