our Opinions are just Figments

Rendered as an EFFECT of our emotions. Our opinions are merely rationalisations based on pre-existent ideas of reality (i.e knowledge/experiences we have gathered).

Every time a new emotion is felt strongly enough to be deemed "of interest" to the Bodymind, the Bodymind will incorporate this into the Self (what we can consciously refer to as our "me" or ego) and adjust the Self's opinions accordingly.

Opinions never influence emotions, it is always the other way around. Facts will not of themselves change Someone's opinion, that Someone must emotionally connect to that fact on one or more levels.

Other evidence of my claim is the myriad of already defined cognitive biases.

I'm especially interested in the perspectives from psychopaths and sociopaths.

One could argue opinions ARE emotions regarding facts e.g. the Eiffel Tower being in Paris is a fact, my opinions regarding the Eiffel Tower being in Paris could technically be defined as nothing but emotions.

Kind of although I wouldn't say all facts are opinions or that our psyches can create truth or that a person "has to" have a certain anything to gravitate toward anything.

Well as long as I know what you were going for. Don't think we'll ever agree with each other's theories word-for-word 😁

What do you mean by the psyche can create truth?

When you believe something so intensely that it becomes your truth. Self-delusion.

But self-delusion is not truth. You can believe you're Napoleon Bonaparte time-traveled into the present but if it's not true it's not true.

You can believe you don't need legs in order to walk on legs, but no amount of faith will ever make it true.
