Projector screen question

I will in the near future future completely refurnish my livingroom, which now doubles as both a living room and a home theater. It will continue to serve as both, but I want an even more awesome set up than I have now, which is better hidden away when not in use. Tall order, but I think it can be done.

I use projector and fixed frame screen. I don't trust tab tension screens, I'm all about fixed frame screens. I am currently using a Dynagrey fixed frame from Dreamscreen, and I just want a bigger screen of the same make.

In order to better hide it away however, I am considering framing the screen on the inside of a custom roofplate rather than the proper frame it comes packaged with, and then lower that custom roofplate projector screen down when the living room goes into home theater mode.

To that end, I have a question.

Right now, the screen is simply suspended onto the frame, the projector image shining through, the picture clearly visible on the backside of the frame. (Bit unclear, but hopefully any projector owner will catch my drift)

If I mount the screen directly onto a roofplate, nothing will shine through, it will be pure black surface directly on the other end of the screen.

Will this in any way affect the screen when in use?
