70s 80s Short Films before the movie.

Hello Movie Lovers,

I have often wondered about this, But when I was a young'un, I used to go to the movies every Saturday at the Civic Cinema Centre in Taree (NSW, Australia).

Now this would have been around 1977 to 1981, and on top of the the fact that you got 2 movies, you also got a myriad of other things, The 15 minute Cigarette epics of the Marlboro man, or the woman on the white horse on the beach who stops for an alpine, lol, and the cartoons, and the previews etc.

But what I realy want to know is what were the little movies/docos/shorts called that they used to play.

Im sure everyone remembers the one where the backyard swimming pool was emptied and the kids used it for a skate park. There was another I remember about a VW beetle being stuck on a beach, but with DEFLATION of the rear tires, the car could drive happily around the beach.

These are just 2 That really stand out in my mind, but there were always one of these little shows on every week.

Now, What were they called? and is there an archive of them somewhere?
