Thanks to Trump the next Bond movie will be FANTASTIC!!!

Why? Because, according to Purvis, the mustache-twirling villain has become a reality. This means that they will really have to raise their game and villainy big league for the next film in order to stay ahead of the real world.

This means no insipid villains with daddy issues and "Big Brother is watching" schemes. That just won't cut it anymore.

I'm just wondering which "mustache-twirling" villain he's blabbing about.

Maybe he means "orange hair twirling". Same idea.

Tomorrow on Twitter:

"Purvis is an awful writer. The worst really. Who even knows who he is? Sad! Bigly.

We'll replace him with new writers. Great writers. The best writers. It's gonna be the best Bond film ever, believe me. Believe me. We'll settle for nothing less. You, the fans, deserve it. We're giving this franchise back to you."

I know some Purvis and Wade detractors who will be delighted.

But Purvis and Wade will return to rewrite the very successful Bond 25. And it will be part of President Trump's plan.

You mean President Putin's plan, don't you?

We have enough problems with that man in the White House as it is. Can you imagine how much bitching and moaning we'd have to listen from THEN?

To call Trump a Bond villain is to give him too much credit. He's not a mastermind with a sinister plan like Goldfiger or Blofeld, he's dangerous because he's a hateful bigot who's been placed in a position of power with a very real chance of doing something incredibly stupid.

On second thoughts, there was one Bond villain somewhat reminiscent of Trump:

It will be fascinating to see how the series processes current events though. To make these films the writers often ask what the world is afraid of and right now it's our own leaders which could be too inflammatory a subject...

It takes all the running you can do, to keep in the same place.

I may not be a Trump supporter and I really would have loved to see another Republican occupy the White House right now (I'd take Mike Pence in a second) but at the same time I am thrilled at his Cabinet picks (minus Rex Tillerson). We haven't had this many strong conservatives in top positions since probably the Reagan years! Makes me feel proud to be an American. Now, if only the commander-in-chief was TED CRUZ. Oh well, a guy can dream, right? Of course there was a strong possibility of that happening, had more people rallied behind him than Trump. Here's hoping for 2024.
