Off Topic: How did Twilight not get its own board?

I know that Harry Potter is a very, very popular series with a huge fanbase, but at least between 2009, or 2010 (when it became more and more established) to 2012, the seeming-rival to the the Potter series, Twilight, had a quite a large popularity as well, perhaps even huge, yet I can't recall if quite to the standards of the Potter fanbase. How did a separate IMDB board for the Twilight series not get made, yet? Was this ever brought up before on these boards, or the Horror films board? It would be interesting to gain some insight into why it never happened, when I recall that series being quite popular too.

I think the Twilight fanbase wanted to believe it could rival Harry Potter but it never seriously did. The last HP film made like $500 million more than the last Twilight film for example. I don't know Imdb's reasoning but I always saw Twilight as more of a fad and it lacked the kind of timeless quality that Harry Potter had.

Not a lot of people like the Twilight movies, and i have never much heard of too many people liking the movie or the series

I believe IMDB creates these special boards if the relevant film boards see a lot of traffic or if there are a large amount of different films pertaining to the topics in cases like James Bond or Horror films. The 5 Twilight film boards evidently weren't busy enough to warrant that.

The separate Lord of the Rings board 10 years ago was incredibly busy and had 10 pages available. It's now down to 2 boards and has had just 10 posts in the last 31 days. I assume that IMDb has only so much room on its servers; maybe they simply decided that "Twilight" was more of a fad and wouldn't have the lasting appeal to warrant its own board.

Exactly why the Hunger Games doesn't have their own boards: both Twilight and the Hunger Games were just passing mentions in the film industry; over, and quite forgotten.

As a late response I'll say it's because Harry Potter was always waaay more popular than Twilight and the series has also stood the test of time while Twilight is pretty much gone by now as the only reasons I hear it be mentioned again is whenever someone says how Fifty Shades began as a fanfic.

I agree with a lot of what other posters are saying. I remember being really into Twilight when it came out, and now, I barely talk about that books or movies. Actually, I don't know of any of my friends who talk about it much either. HP they mention quite frequently.
