Which Harry Potter series do you like the most?

I am a Harry Potter addict. I am just curious to know which series you like the most?

Do you mean books versus films? I prefer the books.

The Book series of course.

I haven't seen it yet, but I think I will like Fantastic Beasts more than the Potter movies.

Assuming you mean books vs. movies, I would would have to say books. I love the movies, I really do, but there's just too much more in the books to not prefer them. The books have made me literally laugh hysterically so many times, and there are so many moments that have made me tear up in both sadness and joy.

The movies, while funny at times and with a decent amount of emotion, never really hit me as hard, and I watched the movies first. The death of Sirius for example was sad in the movie, but downright devastating in the book. And near the end in the books, when Hagrid is carrying Harry's 'dead' body; they way it describes McGonagall's reaction is heart wrenching.

And I literally tear up every time I read the last part of the final actual chapter, where Harry, Ron and Hermione walk into the headmaster's office. The way it's written is very beautiful, with all the previous headmasters and headmistresses applauding.

I could gush on and on, but I won't bore anyone more than I already have lol.

However, if you mean which individual book or movie:

Book - Half Blood Prince. For some reason I really enjoy this book as a whole the most. I love the relationship between Harry and Dumbledore in this one; from the meeting at the Dursley's house, to their final words before leaving Harry and the Burrow, to Harry understanding that he had let Dumbledore down and feeling guilt. I enjoy that part because it shows Harry as becoming more mature.

I also personally liked the build up with Harry and Ginny, despite most people thinking it forced and tacked on. I thought it was great.

But most important, the entire backstory for Voldermort was beyond fascinating to me.

Movie - Order of the Phoenix. To me this was the most exciting of the movies, with a great cast, great acting and a great story line with Harry coming into his own as a leader. Too bad they kind of lost focus on that last part lol.

You never responded to whether you mean books vs movies . . . .

If that's what you mean, it's no contest for me. The books are approximately 142 times better than the films, and I'm confident that I'll be reading them over again for the rest of my life. I think the only two films that I loved in the series are Prisoner of Azkaban and Goblet of Fire.
