That's the worst bit for me, but lots of people like it. I used to play that song in gigs, and everyone joins in at that bit 

Just reading that list and unavoidably having a few seconds of each run through my mind is thoroughly unpleasant. Most of those records were horribly overplayed so if you had music on at your workplace or had a long commute, it became insufferable. And if you had music at your workplace and had a long commute....

There were probably 20 of the top 100 for 1973 I didn't recognize by title. Of those I recognize, I like all of them at least a bit.

Like you I don't care for "Seasons in the Sun", but that's on the 1974 charts, and I'm going by the top 100 on the charts for each year.
