can my old, identical username be ''claimed,'' and integrated with my new one?

I just signed up with the same username I used to have on IMDB, and thought it would be great if others doing the same could somehow claim their old IMDB names and integrate them with their "new" ones (if identical and undisputed.) Then we could view our complete posting histories.

Is this anticipated to be possible in the future?
