Mrs. Ross, Susan's mother on Seinfeld, was one of the funniest, and darkest. With her constant drunkenness and acidic dismissal of her gloomy, sexually-repressed husband, the dinner table scenes whenever George visited were always deeply uncomfortable and hilariously bleak affairs. Grace Zabriskie is of course a wonderful actress and plays unhinged better than anyone.
