Would you die to save your country?

--Michael D. Clarke

reply

Do you mean actually save it, like dying, neutralizing a a doomsday weapon or something like that?

reply

I HAD THE SAME QUESTION.

reply

Looks like the OP was a hit and run.

reply

Depends what I'm saving it from.

If it's from the Nazis, then, sure.

reply

Normally I would say "yes," but in this case, I'd happily throw every asshole politician in Washington under the bus, turn them into human shields, and let them die for our country, since they hate it so much. It's no less than they deserve. The California legislature can die alongside them.

reply

right. are the rich assholes drumming up a war for US/YOU to die in instead of them whilst they eat tea and crumpets watching it from a far? Fuck that. MAYBE if they joined us on the front lines an died along side us, I would consider it.

But that is just to answer the question.

Fact is, dying for country - "Wars" - today are only political movements. PEOPLE in all the countries don't want to war, just the governments. We need to tell all governments we are done dying for them against other people who also prefer to live in harmony. Governments can fuck off with their war profit machines.

reply

Ye, besides morally speaking I would probably have more in common with the invaders anyway. Or I am sure there would be a Nationalist resistence movement that would fight the invaders as well as decimate the Woke plague within.

reply

Ask not if you would die for your country, ask if your country would die for you ! - KFJ

reply

When the assholes in charge hate your existence based on your gender and skin color it's really hard to answer yes to this question right now.

reply

Nah as a white straight male my country hates me. I'll be damned if I am going to put myself at risk to save the hateful Woke types.

reply

I don't hate you. Only 99.99% to go...

Signed, million man.

reply

I understand. I too would push back if someone told me I am not a straight male, but a cisgender male. Which is precisely what I'm telling you.

reply

I served in the (British) military so the possibility went with the job. Fortunately, it never arose!

reply

If the reason is valid, yes.
