I've walked by The Lawlor Events Center but have never been inside.
The Wolf Pack got crushed by Arizona State. Oh well.

i don't see one new york state team

As far as I knew growing up, and even as an adult, college basketball was never a big thing in NYC except, I guess, for people who like to bet on sports. (Can't speak for the rest of the State). I think the only decent NYC college basketball team is St. John's out in Queens.

Syracuse used to be powerhouse.

The coach just retired after losing the latest game.

The active coach with the longest tenure is now Huggins with West Virginia, who lost to Maryland today, in the first scheduled game.

St. John's. That's about all she wrote. Fordham (Atlantic 10) hasn't been to a Final Four in 30 years, and even then they lost in the first round. I think the reason college sports isn't a gigantic thing in NYC is because of the plethora of professional teams. But hey, Columbia was the 1909–10 National Champions :)

I just saw on the news that out of the 20 million or so brackets submitted, only 787 are still perfect. 🤔
