The legendary actor Chaim Topol passes away at age 88, he known for his unforgettable role as Tevye in Fiddler on the Roof. He won two Golden Globes for his roles in Salah Shabati and Fiddler on the Roof.

It's sad news for me and many others in Israel and around the world, he was one of my favorite actors, I even meet him few times, maybe the greatest Jewish actor in my opinion.

I know him best for his role as Berel Jastrow in The Winds of War and War and Remembrance.

Didn't seen the mini series but read the books based on The Winds of War and War and Remembrance.

I heard he was popular in UK for few years.
