How do Australians usually watch movies?

I probably won't get any answers, it seems like most people on this website are American. Of course everyone's welcome to participate in the discussion though.

I'm Australian, and I usually use Blu-Rays and torrents. People say they're both outdated, but what are the alternatives? It seems like streaming is the most popular option, but Netflix seems to hardly have anything available in Australia. I know there are other streaming services, but I can only afford one, and I use Netflix because it seems to be the most popular. Keep in mind I like watching movies on my TV in good quality.

I stream via Netflix and Amazon Prime. Prime has many of the current cinema releases available to rent but they are a bit on the pricey side.

If you’re a fan of world cinema, I’d totally recommend SBS On Demand. They have a great selection of foreign/arthouse movies to stream, they update their content regularly, and it’s totally free. I’ve discovered so many excellent movies through that app, I love it.

I'm Aussie. I use torrents or watch on YouTube. I still have DVD's and a few Blu Rays, I got rid of most of my VHS last year.

YouTube has heaps of classic films you can watch for free. I am not impressed by most newer films.

Fellow Aussie here, and I mainly use torrents, Youtube and random sites friends have suggested, like 123movies. I'm also fortunate enough to have access to friends' and family members' streaming services, like Netflix and Disney+, which is nice, but yeah Netflix Australia isn't very giving.

If you can only afford one, I would get Stan just because it has a fairly large library.
