Movie snack preference

Snacks and the movies are hand-in-hand, and everybody's got their favourites. What's your go-to?

For me, it's popcorn with nibs mixed in. I'm drinking root beer.

reply

I don't like candy in general...except black licorice..
and I only go to theatres here that have full seating and beer/wine.

Popcorn
black licorice
nachos with extra cheese.

reply

Fellow black liquorice lover.

reply

Love black licorice. Black Panda licorice is excellent stuff.

reply

Brack ricolish is ruvry!

reply

Popcorn and maybe a hot dog with iced tea to drink.

reply

Iced tea? Ooh... fancy.

reply

Iced tea's great. Are you drinking sweetened? Unsweetened? Brewed or like a Nestea thing?

reply

Nestea brand iced tea.

reply

I usually prefer that style, but every now and then I'll brew tea and add a bunch of sugar and make iced tea that way.

reply

Popcorn with extra butter (what passes for butter)
Coca-Cola

reply

Same here, only with Diet Coke.

reply

What are nibs?

reply

Besides delicious? Cherry-flavoured licorice (Twizzlers) and they're small. They're chewy. It's a good flavour and texture addition to the popcorn, for me, anyway.

reply

poppys n coke. m&ms if i'm REALLY feeling greedy.

reply

Poppers and cocaine? Danger, Will Robinson!

reply

Just regular popcorn with butter and a soda, with sugar. Usually Cherry Coke.

reply

Love cherry coke. It can be hard to find, so when I do I often buy a bunch.

reply

Potato chips, the crunchier the better. I don't why loud food tastes so good when you're in a social setting that requires quiet, but they taste the best at the movies. Coke for the drink.

reply

I've never done chips at the movies, but I do eat 'em at home while watching movies sometimes. Chips are great.

reply

You're very considerate. Meanwhile, I prefer popcorn at home and chips at the cinemas. They are great.

reply

Honestly, it's not consideration, they're just not what I want at the movies.

As long as the movie's audible over the crunching, I don't think it'd bug me if somebody was eating them at the cinema, either.

reply

Cool, that works for me if we ever share a cinema.

reply

Imagine that? Some day we're sitting in a movie theatre and I hear a crunch and you smell the scent of artificial flavoured cherries and we both turn and go, "Oh, it's you."

reply

If I ever catch a whiff of artificial cherries while watching, I'll think of you. I'll even cronch a chip in your honour.

reply

I watched a movie at home tonight; ate chips.

reply
