The MC forum software is broken…

On mobile - long threads where people have replied to a reply to a reply, eventually end up as a single word per line…

Check this for example…

By about half way down, it’s unreadable on my iPhone. Not sure if it’s same on android.

reply

It's not broken. It's always been like that. IMDb had that too.

reply

That doesn’t mean it’s not broke 😛

reply

It's not broken it's a feature. It was made so people wouldn't engange in long winded useless debates.

reply

exactly

reply

Really?

reply

It's broken ... but it is probably an easy fix. Somewhere there is probably a global variable that defined the screen limits in the code. I don't see why they don't open that up a little bit. On the other hand a lot of discussions these days are just people bickering at each other who want to have the last word.

They should do what they do on the Washington Post forums - allow you to click to open the discussion where you are in another window.

reply

Only brainwashed imbeciles read the Washington Post.

reply

Well we know what that makes you, don't we?

reply

Yep. I don't read that rag.

reply

It has been this way since Day One. It is never going to change. Ever.

reply

Even worse, single LETTER per line! But that's OK, experience has shown me that there is usually a lot of heat and no light to be had from those type of extended "converstaions."
