Anyone here ever watch any of the Charlie Chan movies?

Just curious. I recently discovered the Charlie Chan films while perusing the DVDs at my library and decided to give them a look.

I think they're fun, classic, B&W mysteries, and at only ~70 minutes a pop they don't require a big time commitment. If you look closely you'll even see a young, pre-fame Rita Hayworth in Charlie Chan in Egypt!

Which library? Which branch?

LOL well that's a very specific question.

I would prefer not to reveal my location to that level of exactitude.

I've seen quite a few of them over the years. Warner Oland was my favourite in the role.

Warner Oland is probably my favorite as well, though I think Sidney Toler also does a good job. I still haven't seen any of the Roland Winters films and so can't comment on him.

I'm watching Charlie Chan in Reno right now. Toler is on deck.
