what's something weird you remember

I remember seeing in an Encyclopedia that said unicorns are real and found in china and a picture showed a realistic unicorn that fit in a basket I found this encyclopedia in school
I never saw the picture anywhere else online

Do you know what's amazing? I always though of unicorns as feminine, pretty horses with skinny horns.

But I dreamt once I was down by the river and I looked across and there was a mammoth white horse running behind the trees. It was so heavy it was making the ground tremble.

It looked out at me and I saw it has this huge horn made of a bone like material. It was thick. The unicorn ran away and then I saw it leap across the river and land with a thud on my side.

Pretty amazing dream.

I recall seeing UFOs as a kid...I swear it was fairly well documented!
It was really crazy...

reply

almost my whole family saw a ufo in the '90s it was shortly after an earthquake they said it looked like the ufo from flight of the navigator

reply

There is a book called Night Siege: The Hudson River UFO Sightings that's all about what I saw and hundreds of other regular people did too (normal types like nurses, teachers and cops)

I don't believe in weird bullshit, Oswald acted alone and Bigfoot is not humping the Loch Ness Monster out there in the woods...
I'm not too crazy, what I saw in the sky made no sense.

Interesting. Is this what you're referring to?

Exactly that, and I know how it sounds

I have no reason to tell lies on a site I frequent daily, the users of which I mostly greatly respect

I saw two multi-light covered boomerang shaped things hover in formation with each other over the woods as a boy...then whoosh, they simply vanished

There is a military airfield about a 45 minute drive from here but I don't think they do experimental aircraft stuff, they're more National Guard oriented

It was a weird sight for sure, whatever it was

reply

Fascinating, and I believe you. Do you have any theories as to what they might have been?

reply

If it were just one boomerang shaped formation I'd guess it was motorized hang gliders but I saw two and their coordination and utter vanishing were uncanny

I don't want to sound like that weird dude on the internet...I didn't drink or smoke weed as a kid either

I can't explain it

Fair enough, carry on.

When I was 13 I was walking home from school and saw a guy pull out a pack of cigarettes from his pocket. He took one cigarette out and shoved it up his nose, and I mean he really shoved it up there. I remember looking around to see if there were cameras around because I thought it was a prank show.

reply

ah , the old cigarette slides into fist trick , I think Teller of Penn & Teller does that one a lot.

I saw a rocket launch at night once, I was with a school group on a southern California beach, near Vandenberg Air Force Base. I think it was a satellite launch because it wasn't publicized, we just saw this giant sort of firework heading up and up and up into the upper atmosphere, then a burst of light and a cone-shaped cone of light spread out from where the rocket had released the first stage and fired the second. It was the weirdest thing, and totally unexpected.

Then I went to Antarctica, and realized that the phrase "living ice" didn't just refer to the fact that the ice cap moves at glacial speed. The ice really felt alive, and like the dominant life form.

reply

Yeah some of those rocket launches are pretty freaky, like "The Day After."

I had a dream that I ate a giant marshmallow and when I woke up, my pillow was gone!

After I watched the Disney movie "Hercules" for the first time, I remembered it like this:
Hercules had become a god again and was going to re-join his family at Mount Olympus.
Fair enough.
But then, Megara became a goddess as well.
That is how she was allowed to live with Hercules among the gods at Mount Olympus.
Her change was made perfectly clear by that her hair started to sparkle and became golden.
But when I re-watched the movie a couple of years later, I was in for a surprise.
For now I realized that the real ending was the other way around.
Namely, Hercules decided to give up his newly regained divinity to be with Megara on Earth.

That was a really weird false memory...

One time when I was down at the beach monitoring the gay beats I saw a flock of seagulls and I mentally projected a crow to scare them off but I was distracted by what Iโ€™m pretty sure was the third UFO I saw in as many weeks. Good thing too, because it saved me from being molested by a Hard Rock Cafe employee who asked me to go to a Pride march for drinks, but I told him I wasnโ€™t into it because it reminded me of my mate who was fake marrying another guy for a green card, and that was just disgusting.

None of that was weird. True story ๐Ÿ˜ฌ
