Nearly all US COVID deaths are now unvaccinated people

Nearly all USA COVID-19 deaths are no among the unvaccinated.

If you haven't been vaccinated, GET vaccinated, before the extremely contagious Delta variant comes to your area. The life you save could be your own, or your grandma's, or your co-worker's, or the cashier at the supermarket.

reply

I am finally going to get vaccinated. I was holding off on it all this time, because I knew that the first few months were going to be a shit show. I wanted to wait for the dust to settle beforehand.

reply

So were the first few months a big show? It seemed kinda subdued to me.

reply

You mean that you didn’t want to
stand in long lines with other folks who could have been infected while you were trying to make yourself immune?!

I think you’re smart. I did the same thing, so I’m biased.

Hospitals and drugstores attract sick people. Who wants to be exposed to people who are sick with communicable disease?

Hey! Anti-zombie inoculation! Get in line here!

reply

A CORRECTION to the MISINFORMATION posted about WAITING in LINE:

The DRUG STORE had you make an APPT so that they're weren't but 1 or maybe 2 other people there at the time when you got your shot.

Because it's also easier for the PHARMACIST that way to give the shots without them having to inject one after the other person (as if it was some kind of an assembly line factory setting).

PLUS they also can't VACCINATE several people at one time and then RISK one of them having a reaction which would also require them to give them still another injection.

In other words, what you've said and described is VERY SILLY from a MEDICAL POINT of VIEW, because nothing like that ever happened, and the other poster is right about how things were nice and CALM or SUBDUED whenever you get VACCINATED.

🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄

reply

That's good to hear (not the death part).

Same in Britain, nearly everyone in hospital is unvaccinated.

Delta is rising quickly here but hospital cases remain low so hopefully the end is in sight for the worst part of the symptoms.

reply

at some point we may just have to give up on the unvaccinated. they are clogging up the healthcare system and we have cancer patients to treat.

reply

Some people have diseases or immune compromises where they cannot be vaccinated.

reply

i wasn't referring to those people.

reply

I'd bet real money that there's secret vaccination happening. Whole regions and communities have been so flooded with idiotic anti-vax propaganda that the groupthink tells people not to get vaccinated, but I bet with the new Delta variant out there some of the more sensible people are getting the shot and not telling anyone.

Of course, this starts with the politicians who are using anti-vax sentiment to gain political capital. They may be happy to see their followers die by the thousand or the million, but they aren't risking their own lives.

reply

"They may be happy to see their followers die by the thousand or the million"

But wouldn't that mean they'd end up with no followers, lol.

reply

They wouldn't care. Once these self-serving politicians have achieved their goals they would no longer need their "followers." Today's "use and throw away" mentality applies to people, too.

reply

There seems to be a lack of understanding of politicians in this thread. No politician is looking to kill off their constituency.
It also seems that no stretch is too far when it comes to fear mongering.

reply

There's a difference between actively wanting to kill their constituents, and not giving a rat's ass if constituents die.

And it's absolutely clear, that some American anti-vax anti-mask anti-any-precautions politicians don't give a rat's ass how many of their constituents die.

reply

And some who don't care how many lives are introduced to economic ruin.

reply

Cancer Centers still treat Cancer patients, but they don't allow them to bring their friends and relatives with them anymore whenever they get treated (as a way to make sure that those who are getting treatment -- who may also have compromised immune systems from Chemo or other treatments -- are protected from catching COVID from the friends and family members of other patients).

reply

that's true but here in canada there are people in need of serious types of surgery but can't get it because of the backlog due to covid.

reply

Not sure how things work up there, but down here getting some Life threatening or more Serious types of surgery shouldn't be a problem.

But something ELECTIVE (such as having a FACE LIFT or a TUMMY TUCK) shouldn't and probably also wouldn't take priority, or be considered as something that was necessary enough to risk catching COVID from them.

A neighbor who is on call and works in a hospital putting STINTS into heart patients stays busy all of the time. So busy that he also had surgery on his hand recently (from an over work injury).

reply

there people waiting for bypass surgeries here and knee/hip replacements as well.

reply

Sorry to hear that hownos. Is that because the DELTA STRAIN has become problem up there? Do doctors down here ever do the surgeries for people up there whenever things get backed up like this?

Hopefully some solution can be found for those who need the bypass surgery (which would probably also come under the LIFE THREATENING category)???

reply

they should have a public access channel that shows covid sufferers in the ICUs and allows them to tell the rest of the holdouts -

get vaccinated, dumbass. this is no fun. get a shot. it would have been way easier than struggling for my next breath 24/7.

reply

I have close friends and co workers who refuse to get vaccinated and it’s hard to even have a discussion with them about it.

reply

I get the hesitancy as I was rather hesitant myself but after having had the virus and undergoing hospitalization for one week, I would absolutely recommend getting vaccinated.

reply

I'd use that as grounds to not attend work.
A workplace full of disease ridden super spreaders is not a safe place

reply

The majority of everyone in my family, some who have had Covid, refuse to get the vaccination. I don't even try to reason with them anymore.

reply

We're all vaxed here in King's Towers.

reply

Same here at The Shogun Compound, we all took the shots

I must say though, those two Pfizer shots really threw me for a loop...I felt like I got beat up by Mike Tyson both times...I was dizzy, achy, fatigued and really out of it both times

The Nurses were quite good at their work and the needles are tiny and painless

reply

With all my travels I’ve had numerous vaccinations, so knew what to expect. First jab, tired the next day - second jab, all good.

reply

That’s about the same experience I had. Maybe just a little tired the 1st day. Everyone in my family is vaccinated now also. 👍

reply

Excellent!

reply

Well done, everyone in this sub-thread! I've successfully pushed everyone I'm close to to get the shot, and I'd have resumed an lovely in-person social life by now if I hadn't broken my damn leg.

reply

Sorry to hear about the broken leg. How much longer before it's healed???

Here's wishing you a speedy recovery!!!

After brow beating my brother (who was originally also an ANTI VAXER), he finally got his 2 shots, which means I've also been as successful at pushing him as you were pushing others that you know to get vaccinated.

🙂

reply

Most of my nearest and dearest are bright and sensible people, and those that aren't had spent a year hearing me talk about seeing people with the disease and how awful it can be. I didn't have to push very hard!

Congrats on converting an anti-vaxxer, BTW, it's hard because people are so damn resistant to admitting they're wrong when they're wrong.

reply

I SALUTE you for your PATIENCE and PERSISTANCE.

The brother still insisted that MICRO CHIPS had been injected into him so the government could TRACE him, but at least he still got the shots anyhow.

On CNN they're also talking about how MASKS MANDATES are going to be REINSTATED AGAIN in places where other ANTI VAXERS still refuse to be VACCINATED.

And one also feels VERY UNHAPPY about the idea of having to go back to wearing a MASK again while shopping for groceries (which also means having to CONSTANTLY keep wiping the STEAM off of the GLASSES that one is wearing).

These damn ANTI VAXXERS like talking about "THEIR FREEDOM" while they IGNORE and don't give a HOOT about "OUR FREEDOM"-- which is taken away by being FORCED to wear a MASK AGAIN -- which this time is BECAUSE OF THEM and their REFUSAL to be VACCINATED !!!

😒

reply

I'm not getting it. What happens when more and more side effects come about months from now? I have no one but myself who will take care of me, so I'm not changing a damn thing.

reply

Chances of dying from Covid - a bit.
Chances of dying from the vaccination - a bit less.
Just saying.

reply

I thing everyone already knows that. I hardly ever interact with others in real life, and when I do, it's rare and it's short. I don't want to catch a flu, either.

reply

I put it off for a long time to watch for side effects. Always thought that this risk was born of overreaction and massive overinflation of the death toll. Like how the media switched from reporting the deaths to reporting the "new cases" once the death toll started dropping in frequency too fast. Or how many "co-morbiddity" deaths and unconfirmed "flu-like" deaths added to the total. We'll never know the real numbers.
Regardless, my parents are in their 80s so I went ahead and took the risk. Due to my skepticism of our technocrat masters and their movable definition of science, I opted for the more traditional style vax: J&J. I don't tell people that I am vaxed or not though. I let those around me reveal what kind of person they are as they make assumptions. This pandemic has done quite a bit in the way of making people show their true colors.

In the end, the virus will run its course no matter what we do. But there will be those who are poised to leap in and take credit. "We killed it with masks!" That kind will be running around like the ancient idiots who thought that beating drums ended a solar eclipse by scaring the great dragon away.

reply

Too many side effects. Better to take ivermectin, vitamin D, zinc, and quercetin.

reply

Someone I know gave me a bottle of Calcium, Magnesium & Zin, a bottle of Vitamin C, and a bottle of Vitamin D.

(I don't plan on buying any once I run out, though)

reply

All good to take. As I keep saying, everyone must make their own informed healthcare decisions. I personally am foregoing being vaxxed because I'm concerned with side effects. Instead I'm taking prophylactic ivermectin which is a safe and effective preventative as well as all the holistic things. And I'm keep social distance when possible. I took my first plane trip since 2019 2 weeks ago and it all went smoothly.
But again everyone must weigh the risks; many are being bullied into being vaxxed. For some that may be a good option, for many it's problematic.

reply

Yes, I don't like the coercion. I wouldn't talk shit to those who do take it. Applying more pressure is not going to help. We've been hovering over the thirty percent-tile for months for fully vaccinated, and now it's only at 46%, so the MAJORITY don't want it. And more didn't want it in the first place, but were required for their job, or other events. And then throwing money in their face to get the vaccine makes me suspicious. The government has lied to us for so long, and then to join forces with Corporation, especially Big Pharma isn't going to convince me.

People should be able to at least have autonomy over their own body, since its us who have to deal with the problems. I also socially distance and avoid most people and even order my groceries to avoid getting sick. I take COVID very seriously, so I quarantine as much as I can.

reply

Where can you get ivermectin?

reply

Do a web search.

reply

none of that will work, you are creating expensive urine.

reply

How much do you want to buy it for (;-p)

reply

you would just piss it away

reply

Maybe I'll bottle it and sell it as an energy drink (;-p)

reply

mix up the flavors.

reply

Just so everyone knows, the FDA hasn't approved Ivermectin for treatment or prevention of COVID, and the only study suggesting it does was allegedly paid for by the company that makes Ivermectin. And Ivermectin is not an anti-viral, it's an anti-parasitic drug more commonly used in animals than humans, and it's dangerous or even deadly in large doses (apparently some people have been using veterinary medicines and getting the dose wrong).

https://www.fda.gov/consumers/consumer-updates/why-you-should-not-use-ivermectin-treat-or-prevent-covid-19

Of course it's up to everyone to look at the risks and benefits of vaccination and decide if two doses of a vaccine or regular doses of an anti-parasitic medicine made for horses is a better idea, but one thing is certain... wearing face masks, hand hygiene, and social distancing have NO side effects.
