Can any fellow Hanna-Barbera/cartoon fans tell me...

... Has there ever been a crossover between HB cartoon characters that didn't involve Scooby-Doo?

In various incarnations Scooby has met (excluding non-speaking, background cameos);

Josie and the Pussycats
Speed Buggy
The Funky Phantom
Blue Falcon and Dynomutt
Captain Caveman
Batman and Robin
Laurel and Hardy
The Three Stooges
The Addams Family
The Harlem Globetrotters
Jeannie
Jabberjaw
Dastardly and Muttley
Hong Kong Phooey
Yogi Bear
Huckleberry Hound
Pixie and Dixie
Quick Draw McGraw
Wally Gator
Grape Ape
and Magilla Gorilla

... all of whom at one time or another had their own series (in the case of Batman and Robin, they later formed part of the lineup of HB's Super Friends).

But has there ever been a crossover between any of these characters (or any other HB characters) without Scooby-Doo being involved?
I can't think of one.

Thanks.

There have been a few:

Yogi's Ark Lark (1972) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yogi%27s_Ark_Lark#List_of_characters
Yogi's Gang (1973) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yogi%27s_Gang#Characters
Yogi's Space Race (1978) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yogi%27s_Space_Race#Characters
Yogi's First Christmas (1980) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yogi%27s_First_Christmas#Cast
The Jetsons Meet the Flintstones (1987) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Jetsons_Meet_the_Flintstones

I'm sure there's more.

Perfect - thanks 👍 I was looking at doing a Venn Diagram of the HB characters. I'd thought Scooby would probably be centre, but Yogi might give him a run for his money. Thanks again.

You're welcome. Glad to help.

Do you plan on publishing the diagram? I would be interested in seeing your results.

I'll let you know if I do 👍

I still remember this song from almost 50 years later:

I remember a fun one called "The Flintstones Meet the Jetsons." I think time-travel was involved, and we learned the very town the Jetsons lived in is the same location Bedrock once was a very long time ago.

Fantastic! I love things like that!

I also loved the little tv movie about grown-up Pebbles and Bam-Bam getting married and having twins :D

reply

I haven't seen that! I'll look out for it!

reply

It might be two separate movies, I can't remember.

The whole premise was that people from the Jetson's time went back to the Flintstone's time to score some cheap caveman hookers.

reply

And people have the nerve to say these were just kids programmes! 😂

reply

Definitely not for kids.

I thought the Jetsons lived in space.

They lived on Earth in an apartment complex mounted on a double shaft. There was one episode where the weather was bad and George or Jane mentioned this to Henry the building superintendent. Henry was able to mechanically extend the shafts to move the complex above the clouds.

I don't think they ever said how far above the surface these dwellings were situated.

Technically, you might mention Laff-A-Lympics. Yes it had Scooby as a team captain, but the program was meant to be a showcase for all the Hanna Barbera stable.

reply

Thanks, yes I included a lot of the characters from Laff-A-Lympics 👍
