I HATE margarine - don't care which brand, it all tastes like yellow Crisco to me.

Use real butter for cooking, baking.

I don't use a whole lot of butter, so there is no reason for me not to use the real thing when I do have some.

We do have some margarine in the house because hubby uses it on bread as he can't spread butter. But I don't touch the stuff.

When I worked at the movie theatre as a teenager they switched from butter to becel to top the popcorn, and the becel left such a film on the warming tins, that even using a scrubby on them wouldn't get them clean. I swore off margarine right then and there.

I use a blend of 70% butter with canola oil. It tastes like butter and it's easy to spread after a few minutes out of the fridge.

I stopped using margarine a few years ago because real butter contains natural ingredients. It's supposed to be better for you.
