Great Guitarists In Bad Bands?
If you can't think of a great guitar player, pick a drummer, pianist, or a bassist.

shareSteve Vai - Whitesnake
shareRandy Rhodes, Jake E. Lee, Brad Gillis and Zakk Wylde - Ozzy Osbourne.
shareVery true, Ozzy is a bad singer even though I am a Sabbath fan. Ozzy only got where he did due to great guitar players and Sharon pushing him.
shareI actually like Ozzy's singing.. It's his TALKING that drives me nuts. I've never ever heard anyone talk like him.
shareI honestly can't stand his voice tone. Very unpleasant, to me.
shareWhen he was younger his singing voice was ok at times in Sabbath it was even good but as he got older it just became more of a warble like his speaking voice which I also can't stand.
shareAndy Taylor - Duran Duran. I like a lot of Duran's songs but it is obvious Andy wanted to play a more rock style as seen by his solo work and Power Station, I don't think he ever got a chance to do what he really wanted to.
shareDuran Duran aren't bad! But I agree about Andy Taylor, he added a rockier edge to them and was great live, his solo album Thunder is pretty good too, I always felt he'd have been more at home in a band like Def Leppard rather than Duran Duran.
shareExactly as a pop band they were quite good but I think Andy was restrained a bit. Although guitar was more prominent in their earlier albums.
shareSlash in Guns N' Roses.
shareJohnny Marr, I like Morrisey and his lyrics but Marr was the best thing about The Smiths in my opinion.
shareDave Stewart from the Eurythmics the band was ok but I never saw them as anything amazing. Dave on the other hand is a very good guitarist.
shareSteve Steven's great guitarist but a lot of Billy Idol's songs are shit.
