Well, I can finally stop feeling bad for watching the same movies over and over.

Rejoice fellow same movie watching addicts! According to science -- and science is never wrong, I spoke to them personally -- watching the same movies and TV shows is actually good for us. Now I don't feel bad for missing new content because I was watching Fargo for the 20th time or seeing Ash chop his hand off in Evil Dead II for the 30th time. I say to keep the same hits coming.

This is good news that I’m not alone.

reply

You were never alone, but now we know we're not crazy.

reply

Sweet!! In that case, I'm off to watch Psych again.

reply

See you in a few weeks.

reply

i watch the same movies over and over too, every night. i watch new ones at work at break, if they are good they become rewatch movies and are allowed to be shown on my tv at home. most don't make it.

reply

That's right, you show those movies who's boss.

reply

Yes! Now I'm going to watch The Room at least once a week!

reply

You mean you don't already do it? Amateur.

reply

Hownos said I couldn't. But now I know better!

reply

You tell that Hownos that watching The Room multiple times in a day is fair game.

It seems to me like you’re the expert, sivagish!

reply

Both of you should keep your comments in your pocket. Anyway, how's your sex life?

reply

Quick somebody head over to the Titanic forum and tell Jason he’s perfectly sane!

reply

I remember him asking if he should stop watching it. Not sure what the outcome was.

reply

Does he still upload to YouTube about that?

reply

Not sure.

reply

He'll never make the Guinness book of records if he hasn't filmed himself watching them, but who's going to tell him that? 🤷‍♂️

reply

They won't even be able to read his posts. Hee rites his posts lyke thiss.

20th? 30th? I estimate I've seen Jaws about 2000 times, credits to credits. There's been months where I've watched it 30 times, easily.

I don't think it's a matter of rewatching but the frequency. I accept that I've seen Jaws much more than is normal but any means but I'm not going to feel bad about watching it again every couple of weeks or watching To Kill a Mockingbird after what is doubtlessly at least a couple hundred viewings.

reply

I don't feel bad for watching things again and again, I feel like I should be expanding movie watching by seeing something I haven't seen before.

reply

Here's a challenge for you! https://youtu.be/iAPJfJz9l3E

reply

I didn't even like it the first time.

reply

Never seen it!

reply

i guess the same would apply to music.

reply

That's less so because music can be background noise.
