What are your thoughts on Michael Jackson?
Talented guy and I dig his songs. Although, an odd fellow. I've never seen such a drastic transformation as in him.

shareMY FEELINGS SEEM TO MIRROR YOURS...TALENTED MAN WHOSE MUSIC I ENJOY...PERSONAL LIFE WISE HE WAS BEYOND BIZARRE.
shareEven if he wasn't guilty of child molestation (I don't believe he was), the dude was weird.
shareI ACTUALLY DONT BELIEVE HE MOLESTED ANY KIDS EITHER...HE LOVED KIDS AND MADE BAD CHOICES THAT WERE EASILY MADE TO LOOK SHADY.
shareThat's exactly how I feel about it. He never should've agreed to that whole Bashir 2003 interview that made him look bad. That interview was really the start of his tragic downfall.
shareI don't agree that he was beyond bizzare. He's bizzare, but many artists are. Elton John always buy the same clothes in every color available. Elvis sported bizzare pompadour hair, indulged in drugs and whatnot. Erratic spending behavior of Nic Cage.
Not to mention people like Marylin Manson. Or even Ozzy Osbourne that ate a bat on stage. Artists are most often weird people.
The same here. I would only add the word "very " before "talented ".

1. He was incredibly talented, and I enjoyed his music. But he was obviously NOT comfortable in his own skin. As the joke goes, he transformed himself from a black man to a white woman.
2. Prescription drugs killed him, and his so called "doctor" was criminally responsible. Unfortunately there was nobody there to tell him "NO, Michael!". And that was a tragedy. Money, drugs and free time are a very dangerous combination.
3. He was very bizarre. Did he molest kids? I don't know, but I tend to think he did.
4. He was an idiot. He actually held his nine month old son out in midair from an upper story balcony. If his grip loosened, the child would have fallen to his death.

He wanted to look like Elizabeth Taylor.
shareWow. Is that true or some sort of stand-up comic joke?
shareIt is true. He told that himself in an interview with Oprah.
shareThere ya go. From dog's lips to your ears.
I don't have much care for MJ's career, other than to dig some of the songs over the decades.
Sure, the guy was effed up in the head, but on the other hand, ...
just because someone says something at some time doesn't mean that's a solid reflection of who they were.
There's context, there's immaturity, there's sobriety ... I won't take some isolated comment as a snapshot on someone's character if I think they have other facets that mitigate it.
But sure, MJ was a messed up person.
That's one theory.

I think his music sucks and he was a weirdo.
And maybe he sexually assaulted children and maybe he didnโt. I donโt have an real thoughts on the subject.
I think if someone is dead, there for unable to defend themselves, we should leave them alone
shareDidn't he have a song called "Leave me alone"?
shareI think that's Billy Joel.
shareMichael did have a song called Leave me alone. It was on "Bad"

Yes, a good song
shareIndeed!
I don't see why people have such a need to badmouth him and bring up old crap from many years ago.
They should at least keep this witch hunt to celebrities, who are still alive.
I mean, there are many to choose from.
Leave the ones who have been dead for almost twelve years alone!
Great artist and showman. A bit weird.
sharePutting all the molestation allegations aside, he's still overrated.
