Do you think working with women tends to be difficult?

I've noticed in workplaces where it's mainly women and a female boss, it tends to be very political than male-dominated environments. Women tend to be catty, gossip, ultra-competitive, backstab and have jealousy/insecurity issues. Whereas, in male-dominated offices, we just tend to get the shit done with no hard feelings and no drama--a chill, relaxed vibe.

I've noticed too that if you make a small mistake in female-dominated workplace, they tend to criticize you harshly and hold it against you forever. Whereas, guys tend to get over the small mistake quickly and don't hold it against you. Men tend to be understanding that mistakes happen and they discuss with you what happened and ways to correct it and life moves on quickly.

Or am just sexist?

Women being women. Nothing new.

So you agree with me then? Is it possible to have an all female work environment and have no drama? Can a male survive an all-female cast? Or is that just a pipe dream?

reply

An ongoing joke between my boys at work is how annoying the women in the office are but that's just us boys talking and making laughs

Truth be told I've worked with quite a few asshats of both genders over the last 34 years and I'll probably have to deal with many more

reply

Hell yes. Especially the backstabbing part.

reply

Let's just keep reiterating stereotypes until the end of time, because that's so interesting.

reply

Is it a "stereotype"?

reply

Based on my experience, male coworkers/bosses are more direct in their approach to work and anything related to it. Women on the other hand are, how do I put it nicely, “less direct” about it.

I prefer the direct approach and communication. Not only for the job environment but generally. That’s why I would rather work with mostly men.

reply

women just aren't into you.

.

reply

You're fired.

reply

You gotta be specific.
Where you at? What type of work, etc...

Nowadayz men are feminised and many of the things you described on the women’s side, I’ve seen on the men.
