How do I fix my yellow stained teeth?

My teeth are stained from years of abuse, and it's becoming a little embarrassing.

I'm beginning to not want to smile in front of others too obviously, or in photos -- and fear others will begin to notice the staining of my teeth and their yellow tint in the future.

How do I fix my yellow stained teeth? I heard products are out there to help remove years of staining to teeth -- but are they effective to the point where they can remove all staining? Can they leave my teeth pearly white?

How much can they remove? Which products should be used? How much of which products should be used? How about visiting a teeth professional? How much can they help?

Can they help any at all? How much staining can they remove?

Crest White Strips work very well. I wouldn't waste your money on professional whitening. The pros are using the same stuff. If you follow the directions you will see a lot of improvement. After trying for a while, if they're not white enough, maybe then inquire further at your dentist. An even cheaper method is photoshop. Make your teeth super white in all your photos and that image will be what people see of you regardless of how yellow they are irl.

Are they yellow from buildup or from weak enamel? Once the enamel goes only a dentist can help you. If it's just staining there's quite alot of options. There's loads of gentle bleaching kits online that pair with a uv light that you use at the same time which gradually brings them up to a brighter shade over a few applications.

The cheapest thing to try is toothpaste with baking soda.

Whiteout is pretty inexpensive too. And the little cap brush is the perfect size for teeth!

You still use the liquid stuff! That's soooo last century. It's all roll on ribbon nowadays, daaaarling.

No, we only ever have the ribbon at my work but I really suck at applying that. I wish for a return to the old liquid paper days.

Toothpaste with peroxide and baking soda. Those white strip things work too
