The movie: The Princess Bride.

Keep: Carey Elwes AND Fred Savage, but cast them in different roles. Elwes plays Humperdink and Savage plays the grandpa. And before anyone asks, of course I have the rest of the cast mapped out. Most of them you can already guess.

Westley/Dread Pirate Roberts - Kermit, of course.
Buttercup - Miss Piggy, duh.
Inigo - Gonzo. Instead of revenge for his slain father, the Count stole his chicken. "Hello, my name is Gonzonigo Montoya. You stole my chicken. Prepare to fly." *activates catapult*
Fezzik - Fozzy (with size adjusted). They both like to crack jokes and both are ultimately huge teddy bears.
Vizzini - Pepe the Prawn.
Prince Humperdink - Cary Elwes. The baddie in muppet movies are usually played by human actors, and I think this could be a nice role reversal.
Count Rugen - Rizzo.
Miracle Max and Valerie - Waldorf and Statler.
Albino Monk - Dr. Honeydew and Beaker. The pit of despair is now a nefarious laboratory.
Grandpa - Fred Savage. This can serve as a perfect in-story explanation for any differences, digressions or inconsistencies because he's trying to remember it the way his grandpa told it to him.
Grandson - Robin (the little boy frog)
The Unintelligible Priest - Swedish Chef
The King - Sam the Eagle or Animal
ROUSes - Those would now be the Rowlfs of Unusual Size. They're out for bones and belly rubs.
