Watching the vaccinations on TV

Right now they're showing people getting the shot. Wish it was me.

reply

Anyone keel over dead yet? Or explode?

reply

So far, nothing that exciting. But the needle they use is l-o-n-g.

reply

Please don’t tell me it’s like the one in Pulp Fiction! 😳

reply

Now that's a true hero:

reply

That's one I watched, but it's hard to tell the needle length; however, they could jab me with a plastic straw if it would get my life back to normal.

reply

You can't get it now anyways. Health care workers are going to be the first ones eligible as they need to be safe and protected to tend to patients and save lives.

reply

I know that and they should be the first - I wasn't saying I should go before them

reply

I'm gonna hang back and watch other people get the vaccine first, see if it has the dangerous side-effects I've heard warnings about.

reply

What dangerous side effects have you been hearing about because I haven't heard of any.

reply

Dr John Campbell says it’s fine and after watching his videos for a year, I think I’d believe anything he said.

reply

Not dangerous but I followed a news segment earlier that reported that minor side effects, possibly causing people to miss two days of work was a factor in determining who got it first. Maybe that's just another confusing mixed message coming from today's media but I know when I was in the workforce, anything that caused me to miss two consecutive days of work wasn't minor.

reply

From what I understand, some people's immune systems react differently to the shot and can be more sensitive to the way immunity starts kicking in.

I will gladly trade a couple of days with a sore arm and not feeling 100% to be able to get my life back.

reply

A somewhat sore arm after getting a vaccination has never caused me to miss even one day of work. On the contrary, the physical activity worked the soreness out quickly. I'm just echoing what I saw being reported. It's an individual decision. I don't have a problem with the vaccine.

reply

Understood - wasn't arguing with you. Some people reported not feeling well for a few days and running a fever.

reply

Most vaccines have mild side effects that usually last only for 24-48 hours. Such as, a sore arm and fever. Glad the vaccine is finally here. Now this horrible pandemic will be over or at least drastically under control. If people do still get infected, it'll be a very small percent of people but it'll be safe enough to live life normally.

reply

Ho Hum. Don't have time to watch the video - is he a doctor, scientist, epidemiologist?

Sorry, I don't think it's a good idea to get medical advice from YouTube.

reply

You don't have to watch, it's your choice.

reply

I want it too. My parents are getting them soon. I'm just glad I won't have to worry about them as much.
