I drove a van full of nieces and nephews across the width of the United states over the span of a few weeks without a driver's license.

shareEarly 20s. I had a bench warrant for a ticket I had gone to traffic school for but they had no record of my attendance (took years to clear as the school seemed to have vanished from the Earth). Prevented me from renewing license before a huge family two-van trip to my granny's surprise 86th birthday party that I had already pledged to drive for years previous. Armed with confidence and hyper attention to speed limits, I kept my promise. No one ever knew.
Taught my nieces and nephews tons of worthless shit on the trip like how to play Casino card game, how to speak Ong, countless riddles (before the smart phone killed riddles), and bedeviled them with numerous practical jokes and japes. All in the shadow of dodging the Law.
