I turn off my heat and permanently close my heating vents in my bedroom, as I sleep much easier when it's freezing cold (under 55 F)

I once served a two year term as president of a Unitarian Universalist church.
shareI'm from Mars!!!!!!! HA!HA!HA!
shareI was once arrested on a warrant in front of my crying mother and taken to jail wearing pajamas. In Minnesota. In the winter.
sharewhat happened?
shareI'll try to condense it all..
The short story is I got caught with a stolen CD player, which I had traded a friend for. I ended up getting charged with possession of stolen property, and when I refused to name the person I got it from in court, the judge hit me with a couple hundred in fines and a chemical dependency evaluation which cost another hundred something. The CD player was a crappy Walmart one that was worth maybe $40 total.
Anyways, the court stuff dragged out for months, and eventually I just got fed up and stupidly skipped a court date. I was 18 and dumb.
So about 8 in the morning, my mom wakes me up asking why police were at the door. So I knew I was screwed, and went down and got cuffed in my pajamas while my mom was crying and freaking out.
The cop tells my mom to grab me a jacket, and I was like "NO, I'm fine! Don't get my jacket!"... She didn't listen, got my jacket and the cops searched it and found a bag of weed. Mom freaked out more.
Ended up doing 90 days in jail with work release.
I haven't been in trouble since. That was a solid wake-up call. Even the cop who arrested me was like "Damn, man.. that was pretty rough."
Good times. Lol
everything that could go wrong...
shareAbsurd!
Most of us have been cuffed and questioned but you'd like to think the Police would be busy chasing after actual dirtbags...what a waste of everybody's time
i'm usually a calm guy, but stories like this make my libertarian rage spiral out of control.
shareI respect people like you who don't rat others out for the police.
shareI’ve seen Kylie Minogue live in concert seven times, first in 1990 and most recently in 2019.
