I have one and have probably used it all of 10 times in 35yrs. Yet I always see characters serving coffee, tea etc with a tray. To be honest I don't serve much. At my house it's help yourself.

shareNo, I never have. I've used a tray when carrying food and drinks out to the patio, but that's all. I can see using one if you're serving coffee or tea so that the cream and sugar is right there, but other than that, nope.
