I totally agree its a ludicrous concept, but some of those people are incredibly intelligent doctors and scientists doing difficult technical jobs you could never do.
Likewise they are are generally great , warm, kind people , possibly more so than the non believers .

shareWhile I agree with the title, I don't lose respect for anyone that believes in it. If someone needs religion to be a good person or uses it to be a good person, fine by me. It's when a religious person forcefully pushes those values on others or judges other people who don't agree or uses them as excuses to hurt others when I lose respect and tolerance.
I'm sorry you feel that way. But as for me, I won't stop believing in God just to earn respect from a man, or even a group of men. I trust God and would rather be faithful to Him than worry about what others think.
