The Undoing

Just finished watching the last episode. First let me say if you are the kind of person that likes car chase's, bombs going off and guns blasting stop reading now.

This was a 6 part series on HBO. Starring Nicole Kidman, Hugh Grant and Donald Sutherland. From the first episode it keep me wanting the next. Great story and outstanding acting. You should check it out unless you are the kind of person that likes car chase's, bombs going off and guns blasting.

or unless you are the kind of person who like good TV series. That series was so off the wall, and the finale just made it that much worse.

How about if I'm the kind of person who can't afford HBO?
Sorry, this doesn't further your intended conversation. I just get frustrated with how we are all supposed to keep up with GoT and every new Netflix and Showtime offering. It all costs $$ and we all ain't got it.

I sympathize with that sentiment. I get my channels on Amazon through Amazon Prime, sometimes HBO, Showtime, AMC, STARZ, The Great Courses. I sign up, watch as much as I can until there is nothing I am really interested in, and then shut that one off and start up a new one. Also switch between Hulu and Netflix as well. I think all together it is less than $20 a month, but then you have to also have Internet and Amazon Prime, or at least I do. I do find they add up and sometimes just shut everything down. I like to subscribe to a Newspaper as well. I don't know how we are supposed to be good citizens if we can only be subject to brainwashing type media like FOX, because that is all a lot of the country gets.

Now HBO is getting even worse, they have HBO, and then I realized that to watch the series "Raised By Wolves" you have to subscribe to HBOmax or something in addition to HBO. That is too much. It's a rip.

reply

I subscribe to cable TV and the HBO premium channel. It automatically includes HBO-Max at no extra cost. They announced months ago that this would happen, but it only became available a few weeks ago. HBO-Max only adds the few special shows designated as HBO-Max (43 movies). It does not include Cinemax.

HBO-Go was introduced a few years ago as a way to stream HBO for those who eliminated cable TV. My understanding is that it included HBO-Max, before the cable subscribers got it added.

First run movies are going to be on HBO-Max at the same time they appear in theaters, notably Wonder Woman 84.

I just checked and do not see the series "Raised By Wolves" being available on HBO, even though IMDB lists it as available on HBO Now.

Actually the show did have a car chase and just like everything else the show did it was terrible.

The show was doing pretty good until it got to the police investigation and the court room stuff. Then it just became full on underwear on the head MORONIC. It was wild how hard the show face planted in the third episode and then limped along for the last three.

The only reasons I finished the show is because of the pandemic and it was only 6 episodes. The show was all about ogling suber rich NYCers lifestyles.

reply

Yeah, if no COVID-19 I would not have watched this to the bitter end.

I agree the ending was somewhat of a letdown. But It kept me guessing. Did his wife do it, Did the son do it. Did her father do it. Did her friend do it. I liked it very much.
