Ever had a celebrity encounter?

I just met Pamela Anderson today. She's really nice. She's here in BC due to COVID-19 but her home is in LA. It was really cool talking to her. My first celebrity encounter. Watched her on "Home Improvement" back in the day but didn't watch "Baywatch".

barb wire was played many times on VHS.. I saw Ted Nugent walking through the frozen section at my grocery store once. I was like "that was the Nuge" to the stocker guy, he said yea, he comes in here all time.

A few: Neil Armstrong, Ed McMahon, Bob Hope, President Nixon and Mathew Perry.

Richard Nixon?

That kind of stands out there...how so and under what circumstances?

He came to my city for a presidential campaign stop back in the day. We saw him at the airport, and he accidentally stepped on my best friend's brother's foot.

Did he apologize?

I don't remember, too long ago.

I bumped into Al Franken while I was walking out of an elevator at the student union at the University of Florida in 1988. I briefly met Penn & Teller in 2012 after one of their shows. They wait and sign autographs and take pictures with the crowd after their show.

Penn Jillette seems like a humble and intelligent dude judging from all the interviews I've seen him on YouTube. I love his views on religion and atheism.

reply

The funny thing is Teller talked more than Penn.

I met the Honky Tonk man wrestler in the Vancouver BC area once just by chance. He was checked into the same hotel as me. He was easy to spot all dressed up like he would be as his character in wrestling. He was there to do a special guest appearance somewhere.

I walked past mark Williams at Birmingham airport once.

I know I know living the dream 🤣🤣

Mort Sahl 4 times.. He autographed his book for me, I autographed my book and CD for him. We talked more in the "green room" after the show more and more. I just wish the owner of the theater (and the producers) weren't around listening to our every word.

My dad worked for Channel 7 down here when I was a kid. I met heaps of celebs.

reply

I never miss and tell.
