Creepiest word used instead of "kill" or "murder" in fiction?

I'll have to go with the word they use in the book "The Giver" (it's sort of a spoiler so I won't put it here) or "unperson" from "1984".

Disembowel is the creepiest word for killing someone.

That sounds technical to me. And having just looked it up, the viscera is the internal organs so to eviscerate is to remove them.

It sounds methodical and planned, whereas disembowelment could be in the heat of battle.

I've heard "cancelled" used which is pretty cold. My fave though is "I'll end you" which I first heard in Good Will Hunting.
