I have thought of John Malkovich, Ralph Fiennes, and Bill Murray. John and Bill have now gone back to doing comedies in recent years. Ralph Fiennes seems to have stopped doing dramas too.

shareI agree. It's ridiculous that Fiennes lost for Schindler's List to Tommy Lee Jones in the Fugitive. Though I don't agree about Bill Murray winning for Groundhog Day since there is no way he was better than Tom Hanks in Philadelphia.
