Help I Need To Find....

Ok i just joined and am trying to find a movie, or tv show I saw a few years back.....not really sure when.
It starts with a large explosion on the opposite side of a chain link fence....setting is in modern times.
Something happens and certain people go into another "world".......and to get there, someone has to hold their head under water in a tub, and like drown them for them to pass over into this other "place".
In another part of the movie a few of the people are like in a place out in a desert like area in an old wood shack......and the is a little pond outside......
They are waiting for someone to come....

Anyway no one seems to remember this movie.

Sounds like several scenes from season 3 of The Leftovers.

The bathtub scene sounds like the one from "Constantine", with Keanu Reeves and Rachel Weisz, tTilda Swinton as an archangel, and some side trips to Hell.

I was thinking the same until I read the part about "wood shack" and "pond".
If the OP would have provided just one name of an actor or actress than this would be a simple answer.

Yeah, I'm far from sure. I don't know if there's another film with a drowning-in-the-bathtub scene, or if OP is conflating two films. How does "Constantine" open again? I always seem to miss the opening when it comes on TV.

A guy in mexico digging under the rubble of an old church finds the endpoint of the spear of destiny, grabs it and becomes possessed like his "precious" in LoTR and is now invincible, starts running with it, gets hit by speeding car and continues running off unscathed.

That's why I think it is season 3 of The Leftovers. It's a wooden church in Australia and the pond is to drown Kevin in so he can cross over to find the others. His dad drowns him in the bathtub later when they bring him out too early.

Also the explosion at the beginning is when they send a missile to take out the Guilty Remnant who took over the building and town and ruined Miracle.
