Movies you felt went for too long/had scenes that were too long?

Face/Off comes to mind for me, I liked the film but towards the end it was just getting dull. The chase scene on the speedboats as well was a little too long for me.

Batman vs Superman I recall the fight scene towards the end just dragging.

All the Transformers films. Just too long.

"The Boat that Rocked" (Pirate Radio in some places). It's a great movie, but it's about 15 minutes too long.

"The Irishman". Another great film, but 3.5 hours doesn't make sense to me.

"True Lies". A lot of that stuff with Jamie Lee Curtis having to do stuff for Schwarzenegger just slowed down what is otherwise a great action film. The strip dance was just gratuitous.

I've never seen True Lies because of the Jamie strip thing which I saw in ads and promo's it just looked silly which maybe it was meant to be and tacked on. Kind of made me lose faith in the film itself.

I haven't seen The Irishman but yeah 3.5 hours is crazy long.

My god, what is wrong with the male race today. 🤦🏻‍♂️ That scene was sexy as hell, and I will never apologize for saying that. Jamie Lee Curtis looked incredible! Scenes like that were puberty for me. Haha. Love that scene, and True Lies was a great action comedy.

Never found Jamie attractive actually probably didn't help.

reply

She does nothing for me either.

Never watch them in one sitting, they're usually two movies rolled into one anyway.

Every Martin Scorsese movie made since 1985. EDIT and CUT you pompous, arrogant ass!

The neverending mess they made out of "The Hobbit".

Two movies too long!

I thought The Irishman ran 30-40 minutes too long.

Dancing With Wolves.

If the Confederates were able to shoot straight they would have killed him at the start.

Inland Empire

Ever watch Citizen Kane?
Could have been cut down to a thirty minute infomercial, right?
Or maybe that would be too long.

reply

I haven't actually seen it but I will try it and see if I can fast forward through if it gets boring! Something about it has always seemed dull to me even though I don't know much about it.
