How can I know if a torrent has subtitles for foreign language scenes?

Like Slumdog Millionaire for example.

reply

It doesn't matter because you can easily download subtitle files for most any movie from subtitle sites. Do an internet search for slumdog millionaire subtitles foreign parts only.

Would this work if I want to watch movies on my TV, or would I have to watch them on my computer?

reply

Still works on tv just add the subtitle file to the folder the movie is in.

reply

OK, thanks.

Also, make sure the file of the subtitle is the exact same name as the file of the film with the exception of .srt. Keep the .srt portion on the subtitle file. Example:

Slumdog Millionaire.mp4
Slumdog Millionaire.srt

Some players won't play the subtitle file if there is any change. Even a space.

Also for some TVs you may have to press the subtitle button on the remote or dive into the menu because most of the time subtitle is disabled by default.

reply

True.

SMPlayer can download subtitles from internet

If a movie has subtitles then generally they will be available if you can find a .mkv version of the file. Alternatively there is free software on the internet that you can use that allows you to hard-code subtitles onto the movie file itself. I had to do this for a Quiet Place.
