Overused expressions that should be left in 2020

“Not all heroes wear capes”
“Asking for a friend”
“I’m not crying you’re crying”
“Beautiful inside and out”

reply

Those are not euphamisms.

reply

Ah you’re right, wrong term

reply

"Jaws doesn’t get the kind of recognition it deserves"

reply

Shut up

reply

Oh c'mon Buff, that was pretty funny😃

reply

LOL

reply

LOL.

reply

Stop mansplaining
You're butthurt
Check your privilege
Let that sink in
You're so salty

reply

Yes! I hate the term mansplaining, not because of the annoying feminists who use it but because it’s just a stupid sounding term.

reply

I hate it because it doesn't even rhyme with "explaining". "Sexplaining" is more appropriate.

reply

Yes exactly

reply

Stop samoanjoesplaining!

reply

And why don't you stop ExplainKing?!?

😬

reply

I’m going to start using this, lol.

reply

All yours Amigo lol🍻

reply

I'm just SamoanJoKing.

reply

Simp is more recent and necessary, way too many douchebags groveling at women’s feet. Boomer I can take it or leave it, Karen is old.

reply

I still don't get 'simp'

I'm getting too old for this shit😁

reply

Simp can be male or female.

reply

I'm way behind on these 'net insults and I'm kind of glad

reply

Simp can be almost be a term of endearment too.

reply

Starting sentences with "So" and "Right".

reply

I agree w “so,” can you give me an example of starting a sentence with “right?”

reply

Someone will say something like, "How do you feel about zircon encrusted tweezers?" and the other person will say: "Right, I think they can be useful for extracting sup-atomic apple seed residue."

reply

Lol weird example, doesn’t happen in the US you must be in UK or Aus. People do respond with “right?” in a question sounding form not as a question but in acknowledgement or agreement which is equally stupid.

reply

No. I'm in the US and I hear it a lot. Usually on talk radio, from pseudo intellectuals. Same with "so".

reply

Right, so you find it annoying?

reply

Double whammy!!!

reply

Sorry, couldn't resist, lol.

reply

😂

reply

I think the "so" is a stalling technique, giving the person time to gather their thoughts before expressing it verbally.

reply

I see it as a one word substitute for beginning a response with, "Let me get this straight...".

reply

"Snowflake." This got old years ago, yet I still see it in posts.

reply

Yeah that was always stupid

reply

Same with "my bad". I hope the fleas of a thousand camels infested the crotch of whoever started that.

reply

These unprecedented times.

reply

Yeah, should be postcedented times.

reply

I really like the term "clusterfuck". It really captures 2020.
