Hoarder
Trying to help a hoarder move is exhausting.

If only.
shareHoarder? I hardly even knew her!
shareSorry you have to deal with that. My parents moved about five years ago and even as non-hoarders, it was really hard to mop up the memories of 50 years of marriage and pick which ones could fit into a two bedroom apartment.
shareBeen there, done that. Had to clean out the family home after my parents died. Forty years of stuff - and they were children during the Great Depression, meaning they kept a lot of things, just in case. I wouldn't call them hoarders, but...it was a lot to do almost entirely on my own.
shareWow, yeah, that's a lot of work, especially to do on your own.
shareTook me six months to get the house ready to sell. Four brothers and only one of them actually did what he promised up front that he'd do. He was working seven days a week and knew he wouldn't have much time, but he honored his commitment. The other three were always "busy" when I needed help. Yeah, I'm a little bitter, but whatever. At least I know who has my back and who doesn't.
