What is the advantage of having tinted windows in your car?
I've seen quite a fair bit of them.

I guess this would be beneficial if you were to commit a crime and wanted to be as least conspicuous as possible.
Which is why the dark tint is hated by the Police...It might put them in danger during traffic stops
I've heard tint is regulated by law in some places

Dark tint is legal on the rear doors and the hatchback. I was talking about being able to leave packages in the backseat and hatchback w/o anyone being able to see what I have in my car. It helps with break-in's.
Not talking about dark tint on front or windshield.
In Ohio the front windows must allow 50% light through and anything is legal on the rest of the windows, except the windshield.
This is the law, but it's really not enforced. I have 35% all around and 70% on my windshield on both of my cars and have never had any issues.
The place where I get my windows tinted is where the cops go to have their personal cars done and most of them get 35%.
You certainly know a lot more about it than I do, I've had it maybe twice over many years
