what were the biggest hits of the last couple of years?

movie-wise i mean.
Everytime i see people moaning about "movies today" being woke or whatever
I just cant think of any films i've seen that are new/recent to compare to.

When i was younger there would be a few films , that pretty much everyone would see when they came out, either at the cinema or as soon as it came out on VHS.
From ghostbusters in the 80's to Pulp Fiction in the 90's etc

Maybe this was because there was less choice , no netflix binge series watching .

So whats the biggest most popular most watched films of ,say, the last 5 years?

I dont think ive seen any . except that last Rambo one.

You can just Google it. I don't get what do you want to discuss in this thread. You obviously don't care about new movies anyway.

I want to care about new movies , i just dont think theres been any good ones , but maybe they have just passed me by .
If someone said "Didnt you see Goonies II last year?" , i'd be like "oh that sounds interesting"
whereas if they said "Well there was 'The Lion king' " , i'd be like yeah , i heard about that one but wasnt interested.
Any way you're right , I can google it ...
I've just googled "top 10 highest grossing movies of 2019"

Ant-Man and the Wasp
Solo: A Star Wars Story

Well most people like cartoons and superheroes. There's nothing wrong with that. I like cartoons and superheroes too, eventhough I don't like Star Wars. It's not fair to call them all "a complete shit show."

There are only two I would recommend out of those movies. A sad state we're living in.

Once Upon a Time in Hollywood is probably the best film I have seen in the past 5 years. He’s the only director who I will go and see every film he puts out in the theater.
