Directors who get worse with age?

Like Eastwood, who made his best movies when he was in his 60s and 70s... oops!

And I would add Coppola and Lucas. Coppola and Spielberg are two textbook examples of directors getting worse.

As an interesting fact, they were friends and even used to hang out together. And all of them shined during the 70s/80s, and all of them heavily declined after that. You can't help what wonder why such a close group show, all of them, the same pattern.
