L.A. LAKERS ARE KICKING ASSES AND MAKING ROOM FOR ANOTHER TROPHY.

AS PREDICTED,THE LAKERS CANNOT BE STOPPED THIS SEASON...LEBRON PROVING HE IS STILL LEBRON,AD PROVING HE WAS WORTH THE TRADE,DWIGHT AND COMPANY PROVING THEY ARE STILL HIGH CALIBER BACKUP...AND ALL UNDER/FOR THE LOOMING SHADOW OF NUMBERS 24,8 AND 2...I FEEL BAD FOR THE HEAT...THIS WAS THE WRONG YEAR TO COME OUT OF THE EAST.

reply

looks good for the lakers

reply

Same teams always win in the NBA.

reply

THERE IS DEFINATELY A TREND WITH CERTAIN TEAMS AND WINNING,MY LAKERS ESPECIALLY...BUT WE HAVE HAD A DIVERSE LIST OF WINNERS OVER THE YEARS...SAN ANTONIO WON A BUNCH,THE HEAT,CAVS,HOUSTON IN THE 90S,DETROIT IN THE 80S ALONG WITH BOSTON...DALLAS WON ONE YEAR...YOU NEED AN OWNER WILLING TO SPEND TO NOT ONLY PAY FOR A WINNING TEAM BUT THE FACILITY AND LIFESTYLE TO MAKE PLAYERS WANT TO PLAY THERE...AND THEN THE WHOLE THING HAS TO CONGEAL INTO A WINNING CULTURE...ITS A HARD MIX TO MASTER...ASK MY ASSHOLE NEIGHBORS,THE CLIPPERS.🙂

reply

I think they'll win it but Miami is a tough team.

reply

They will probably win, thanks to AD. He is easily their best player.

reply

LeBron winning rings with three different teams. WOOW

If this happens,I would really think about who is basketball GOAT since MJ.

reply

I don't think there is any question that he is the best since Jordan, but he will never be in the conversation with Jordan. Winning with three different teams isn't all that amazing when you keep joining teams with the highest number of top players in the league on one team (except for a few years where Golden State beat him at his own game). And even so, he still only wins one third of the time. Dude should have about 7 or 8 titles by now. But he is somewhere in the top 5 to 10 NBA players of all time. No higher though, and it won't ever increase at this point, no matter how many more teams he conglomerates the best talent on and wins titles with.

reply

I'm sorry but Jordan NEVER won ring UNTIL Pippen sign for Bulls.
If you want to be best, you have to play with best.

2016 Cleveland was nothing spectacular, IMHO. They still won after sensational comeback.
It's nothing wrong to lose against strong teams like Warriors or Spurs.

reply

Well they drafted Pippen (basically - it was a draft day trade) in 87 and Jordan was drafted in 84, so it's not like he had that many years to do it, especially considering his whole second year was lost to a broken leg. Lebron is no Jordan. He's also no Magic Johnson or Kareem either. I'd rank him right around Wilt and Shaq (somewhere in the top 10 of all time, but no higher than 5).

reply

It's reallly tough to compare different positions.
In my opinion, greatest starting 5 is: Magic - Jordan - LeBron - Duncan - Kareem.

reply

That's probably my starting 5 by position as well (but sometimes I fluctuate between Bird and Lebron, or Hakeem and Kareem).

reply

NBA playoffs have been strange without fans. I can't think of any other sport where home field makes so much of a difference and makes ya wonder if Heat would have made it this far if there were fans.

Not really a surprise Lakers are there, arguably the two best players in the league, but you still need role players to produce and they have as you mentioned. Lebron probably having one of his best playoff performances ever. That's one of my main gripes with the NBA though, the winner is always a top 1 or 2 seed. Never really that many upsets, maybe this year will be different, but I doubt it. I just hope it's an entertaining series with little officiating.

reply

JIMMY BUTLER IS GREAT,AND THE HEAT HAVE BEEN TREMENDOUS...LAKESHOW IN 5 THOUGH...THIS HAS BEEN A NICE BRIGHTSIDE TO THIS YEAR FOR THE PURPLE & GOLD FAITHFUL.

reply

making it look easy.

IT FEELS LIKE THE OLD DAYS...AND BY OLD DAYS I MEAN WHEN I WAS A KID WATCHING MAGIC AND WORTHY IN THE 80S WITH MY DAD AND THE EARLY 2000S WHEN I WAS AN ARROGANT ASSHOLE IN MY LATE TEENS/EARLY 20S LOVING KOBE AND SHAQ...I AM ECSTATIC.
